QUICK DEV TIP #77 UE4 / UE5 - FULL SCREEN VIEWPORT

Today is a really quick tip that I use all the time!

Did you know you know you can maximise your viewport in editor with a keyboard shortcut?

If you would prefer to watch my video version, check it out here

Real quick and simple to do. While you are in your editor view of your level press F11 on your keyboard. This will make the viewport go fullscreen. Pressing it again will take you out of full screen mode.

This is particularly useful when you don’t need to access any settings or add new items you are instead just moving stuff around with the gizmo (translating, rotating, scaling). Having a fullscreen view just makes it a bit easier to see what you are working with!

You can also make use of this fullscreen F11 keyboard shortcut if you are playing in viewport as you can see below.

This works exactly the same in Unreal 5 as well. Just hit F11 and you can fullscreen whether you are in your editor view or playing in viewport!

This is a real simple one but something I use quite often!
