I’ve had a backlog of game ideas building up for a while now. I found things in my life were a little less hectic than normal, and so I thought this would be the perfect time to carve out some time to try out one of the ideas on my list!
I knew this would be a good chance to work on my gamedev skills as well, like:
Making a game completely solo - To practice lots of different areas of game dev
Practice my Unreal C++ - Something I always want to get better at
Making something start to finish that’s polished - Something we gamedevs don’t get to practice a lot because of how long games take to make
The idea I chose was one of the ones I was most excited to make up. So, over about 6 weeks, I made up a demo for a game called:
ZOMBIE TYPING is a tense typing survival game where every action is powered by your keyboard skills. From moving, looting and menus, to reloading and blasting the undead away before they can eat your brains...
There are no buttons to mash or joysticks to flick: just you, the undead, and your ability to type under pressure.

I had a lot of fun making it up and was really happy with how it turned out!
Go give the game a play and let me know what you think!
